When speaking to the world, Israel has continuously denied the well-evidenced statistics of casualties and injuries reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, but speaking to their own, the former Israeli military chief bragged that 1 in 10 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed or injured in less than two years. Israel has killed at least 64,871 people and wounded 164,610 since October 2023. Thousands more are believed to be under the rubble.

Everyone knows this is a genocide, but the entirety of the Global North insists we all play pretend that we do not know the obvious truth before us. Those orchestrating and facilitating genocide make it so easy for you to look away, to deny or rationalize any atrocity. Going along with this is to fill yourself with poisonous lies. Your humanity is disintegrating inside you the longer you look away.

Last night, the occupation bombed many buildings and residential towers near my friend Ahmed. His neighbor's house was bombed, which was only 50 meters (164 feet) away from where his family was sheltered.

Tomorrow they plan to move south to the Deir al-Balah, but they have so little money or resources they must make this distance (15 kilometers, or over 9 miles) on foot, carrying their tent and all of their belongings under the hot sun. He is scared for how his brother will manage to go this long distance with his injuries.

Ahmed is a teenager whose family has been repeatedly displaced and malnourished by famine. Their home was destroyed, and even their tent was damaged in bombings. His brother's injuries have gone without adequate treatment because their funds and resources are so low.

His family's campaign is #198 on the @gazavetters list. At time of writing, he has only received €15,698 in donations.
